About Us

Engineer Alex "SEVV" Snape founded JD Sound to challenge the outdated studio model and break Nashville free from the "country music town only" label.

Drawing from years behind the console and a deep understanding of artists' needs, he created a space that prioritizes efficiency, focus, and comfort. Whether you're making music for the first time or you're a touring artist, JD Sound welcomes you to show up, feel at home, and do your best work without distraction or gatekeeping.

Today, JD Sound stands as one of Nashville's most trusted studios, serving everyone from emerging independent artists to major-label stars across every genre: country, pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, and beyond.
